When I arrived to the Wynwood Art District over five years ago, the future of Wynwood was far from certain. Today, we can see the Art District is at a crucial point in its development process. My position as an artist and a Gallery Director has provided me a unique perspective of these changes. I have witnessed the area transform into the interesting and stylish community it is today. This has given me the opportunity to work with artists like Sara Roitman, the astonishing photographer from Ecuador; prominent French photographer and designer, Denis Boudard; and mature artist, Jose Cestero from the Dominican Republic. Wynwood has attracted emerging talents such as, painter, Molly Bo and also talented street artists from New York, Skott Marsi and Michael Jones of Los Angeles. It is obvious that the Wynwood Art District has become a meeting point in the global art community for artists and art appreciators alike. I am proud to present “Visual Dialogues 2013,” an exhibition whose objective is to expose the interconnection between the perspective of each artist. Together we are carving a space in the art world for the future for Wynwood.
